We have discovered that young and affluent professionals with an eye on their health are a huge part of this new craze, but many feel short changed when paying £3 for a simple cup of tea in a coffee shop which could be made at home or the office for a fraction of the cost. Many consumers are also looking for creative and innovative ways to enjoy tea based drinks. A third trend we noticed in the want of health conscious drinks is the reduction of caffeine, spurring on our development of caffeine free blends

The key to Roibesso is the barista touch. Each of our handcrafted Artisan Tea blends is packed full of taste and goodness, which is then bought to life in the hands of your barista. After all, we believe a great cup of tea should have come with all the skill and theatre of a cup of coffee. Where is the fun in going to a café and paying 3 euro for a cup of tea identical to something you could make at home?
 





Roispresso has received considerable interest from hotels, restaurants, and coffee shop chain operators who see the growing trend of the “premium” tea market. Since October 2013 Roispresso has been offered at premier destinations such as the Trafalgar hotel and Nobu in London, the H Hotel and Intercontinental in Dubai, the W Hotel, Conrad, and Peninsula in Hong Kong.  We are looking to expand our distribution in this sector chiefly to increase the exposure of the brand. 


 




Coffee shop chains are Roispressos next target market.  This is the best way to establish and grow brand awareness and establish a premium, coffee-house image for the brand.  We are in early discussions with Gloria Jean’s Café, McCafe and Costa.







The home/office market is the logical next step as a third route to market.  Roispresso is already available to be distributed in home/office coffee machine “pods” or pads/capsules.  



The business is now seeking 55k euro of funding in order to develop the business opportunity. Funds are required for marketing costs, initial build up of stock into the distribution channels, and general working capital.
 
This reflects the current trading of the business, its proof of concept, the patents applied for, branding and web site, and the funds already injected into the business from the founders, friends and family. 55 euro will therefore take c26% of the shareholding.
 
Exit would be expected in 3-5 years with the most likely option a trade sale to a major hot beverage outlet or manufacturer. There has been early interest created with Costa Coffee, Chibo (Germany), Gloria Jeans (Ireland), SSP Group, Tata, Nestle and Unilever. Alternatively a flotation would be a potential exit.
 
If exit were achieved in year 5 with the profit figures achieved as predicted, this could represent a return of around 20 times to investors.

We have, for many years, tracked and recorded that trends in health and wellbeing have grown significantly every year, with the market for herbal tea having tripled in recent years.  We recognise that keeping fit and healthy is more important to people than ever, and the extensive health benefits associated with herbal tea and superfoods are well documented.

The tea is prepared using a professional coffee machine we can already find in the coffee shop.
 
Which means that no new hardware/machine is required.
 
The tea is prepared by the barista using our patent tea handle and the tea is brewed under the pressure.
 
The base for all Roibesso tea blends is South African red tea Rooibos, which are naturally caffein free, and rich in antioxidants.

The UK hot drinks market remains strong with sales expected to increase from 1.74bn euro in 2014 to 2.01bn euro in 2017. That represents approximately 165m cups of tea and 70m cups of coffee consumed per day. Total UK coffee shop market is predicted to exceed 20,500 outlets in 5 years, growing at 4.5% per year. In USA 400m cups of coffee are sold per day through c500,000 outlets. This therefore demonstrates that the hot beverages market in both UK and USA is vibrant and growing.
 
It is estimated that over 10% of consumers who drink coffee through retail outlets could become tea drinkers if the product were made available in the same format as current coffee products through the same outlets, at a similar price. This estimation has been substantiated through the initial sales through several outlets. This therefore gives Roibesso a huge target market in UK, with an even bigger potential market in USA.

In the USA, the coffee shop market has so far has so far exceeded 500.000 outlets and 45B cups of coffee are sold per year.
 
So if Roibesso can capture 10%, the addressable market in USA is 1.1B euro.

We sorts the raw materials from a variety of sorts from all over the word. With the help of our outsourcing partner, the raw materials are packed into single tea pods in Italy.

The business sells the tea pod to the re-seller who supplies the outlets with the tea pods and finally through the outlets they arrive to the consumer.


Since October 2013 we have been trialing Roibesso in premier destinations such as The Trafalgar Hotel and Nobu in London, the H Hotel and the Intercontinental in Dubai, the Conrad, Peninsula and W Hotel in Hong Kong
 
The success of the trials shows that the product is well received by the market and that now is the right time for the Artisan tea: healthy and handcrafted by barista.

Our next step is to launch our unique range of artisan tea through Coffee Shop outlets

In year 1 route to market will be initially aimed at individual or small chains of hotels, restaurants and coffee shops. This will create and establish brand awareness and establish a premium ‘tea in a coffee house’ image for the brand. Coffee shops sell on average 300 cups of coffee per day, so if Roibesso can capture 10% of that market that is 30 cups per day per outlet. Target at the end of year 1 is to have 40 coffee house chains with 275 outlets serving
 
Roibesso products.
In year 2 the business will continue to build its base of smaller chains and independents moving to other major locations in UK, and will begin to target larger chains such as Costa Coffee, Café Nero, Gloria Jeans and Tchibo. The business will also start to move in to the much larger US market via individual and small chain outlets in New York.
 
In year 3 the business will seek to ensure it has full coverage of smaller chains in UK, is moving strongly into the larger chains, and is able to expand its presence into USA market replicating the growth model in the UK market.
 
Year 4 will consolidate the above, and replicate year 1 UK strategy into Middle East and Asia, and any other suitable worldwide territory.
In addition, there is the ability to launch into the home and office ready to drink market suitable for vending and self serve machines. This is a longer term strategy as it means developing an alternative to the ‘pod and handle’ mechanisms to be used in the earlier stages.
 
The business will also consider the opportunity to create a pod for home use to be sold through traditional retailers. This will also be a longer term opportunity for the business and will not be a short term area of focus.

    We all well know that the main reason for new product failure is a wrong Marketing.  So we decided to deeply focus in developing a strong brand and a strong Marketing strategy. We decided to improve our current branding and marketing works.

    I like this kind of comments !

    The success of this product has caused major innovation in Australia. Market trials have already started for chicken, and mushroom cappuccinos. Simply by putting concentrated soup mix into the espresso holder and adding frothed milk you can get great chickaccinos and mushaccinos. Lakhsa has been tried but not found successful yet. The story of 50 shades of cappuccino is just starting
